Check out this 1965 Black Belt Magazine featuring an “old” San Soo Student. I put it on our website if someone would like to purchase it from Ron’s collection: (SOLD 9/28)
This is a piece of history that few know about. The front page and inside article features Rudy TerLinden one of the first early San Soo schools ran for Jimmy H. Woo, I am not sure of the arrangement.
He was a good fighter, and a nice guy, I heard he recently died.
He was trained in Indonesia in an Art that was much like San Soo, it blended well. He told us that he pledged to never tell his instructor’s name and that man could kill a chicken with his Chi at 30 feet. All I can say is that I am sure he believed it. Jimmy told him to quit telling the story but I heard he still did and Jimmy asked him to leave.
SOLD to a quick buyer! But it is still a very interesting story!
