Editor’s note: I just wanted to remind everyone to share these posts on your own pages and wherever San Soo people may gather. We need to share what Ron has gathered over his 60 years in this Art while we can. Much of this information isn’t available elsewhere and once it’s gone, it’s gone. If you have any questions for Ron, here is the place and now is the time. None of us are getting

Listen to what Ed Parker is trying to say, it is what Jimmy explained many times but in their own words. They were friends at one time. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=259121311261177 VOCABULARY OF MOTION- Refers to having an extensive knowledge of Martial Art movements. The truth should set you free! Today I am forced to address a problem that I usually let slide when I read what a San Soo instructor writes about San Soo that is not correct but when others are so far off I must make corrections. Ernest sent me a message of someone who said everyone must decide what our true lineage/history is and referred to Paul Borisoff’s book. Over the years I have had
Some of the old days! I was watching this on YouTube, many ask questions about how Jimmy trained us in the early years, here is a chance for you to watch and learn. These were some of his top guys, and Jimmy showed some nice moves. The video has 3 demo’s, the first one in Chinatown you may have seen but the next two has much info. If a student was smart he would watch
This is a difficult task I want to present but I think you should know how the Art has been changed and lost some of its effectiveness, as far as why you will have to ask the changers. Many have been friends and it is hard to do this but what they have done to the Art Jimmy gave us I can not respect. I am going to pick lesson (Basic #9) and show what

New vid (copied from 8mm) the best one so far. I am very exited by this one, it had so much info I was going to split it. There are so many techniques and form a smart instructor could teach a student for years. Some of the greats sharing lessons for that day and what I missed during the week. Also interesting workouts like Bill Lasiter and Chuck Cory and many lessons given by Jimmy.

Hear it first hand! People are so quick to tell you Jimmy said this or that but many times I wonder if they are able to understand what he really said. Here is a bit of his wisdom he tells us that is very true. You will need to learn to understand him, it really is not that hard, we all had to do it. Listen as often as it takes to understand and it

How many times can we get even with our kids? Well here is mine, my son Gary used to come to Jimmy’s sometimes to learn and workout. Looking through the old films I found this, Jimmy giving him his yellow belt and tying it on. Gary then goes out and works out with Jeanette and gets his first kiss which he quickly wiped off. Dumb, he had his chance. heh heh Jeanette was very good

Article: Australian Interested in Gung Fu When I started San Soo in 1962 (Started looking in 1960) it was kind of a secret thing that an American White guy was allowed to learn this Chinese Art. We felt we were part of an elite group, after I searched 2 years to find someone who would teach a non-Chinese. I was reading Black belt Magazine, in the Letter section there it was, a letter from a

Personal threat assessment Believe it or not you can be trained to be better, you can train yourself to be aware of people’s intent and you may avoid conflict by taking control. Many will laugh and say that’s a bunch of crap but I have seen it and done it myself, many times. It has helped solve crimes including murder, solved cases and saved physical fights. Much of what I am trying to share is
