Does action beat reaction? Sounds good and most would say yes but Jimmy changed my mind. That came when he taught Nam Pi, a whole new ball game. I will warn you up front that there were something like 79 or so Nam Pi and some I have seen have 200 or more, so if they have more they made many up or did not understand what Nam Pi was all about. Another tip is

Where are the books? When I started San Soo in 1962 the story of the books was a very big issue, these contained ancient secrets of combat that were being passed to us from Buddhist Temples, nothing anyone else had. Being a cop and later an investigator some things did not make sense. I asked him so many questions I am surprised he did not kick me out. First, the book did not look Chinese,

Some of the Basic 45 are now on video! I want people to see what Jimmy really taught not someone's version. I have never really liked any type of photo taken of me,don't know why, maybe I am not the most handsome guy, heh heh I wanted to put out a correct version. After Jimmy died, Bernie asked the Masters to make film of several best lessons and give them to her. I am sure

We are evaluating the value of our work on our project when we add up our time spent, taxes and those who say they are going to support but do not. We are being supported by about 8 or so people who are all in. I understand if you really don't have any money and you will do what you must to survive especially with the up coming collapse with the food supply. It is

From Ron Gatewood: The Four Fighting Sounds Someone sent me the fighting sounds which must have been written some time ago because they mentioned that the Standards Committee had approved it so it was our first Association. The printed version is correct however the sounds need to be taught by someone who knows them. Both air and muscle contractions must be sent to certain parts of the body in perfect unison to work and each

Be Careful of who you listen to!! Someone sent me a page from Johnny's web site where he posted 2 lineage charts of San Soo and I would ask him to prove them as he said he can. When I researched our history I hoped it would prove it to be as Jimmy said. I argued for many years backing up those stories but evidence was not on his side. I looked at these charts

A Jimmy story he told us! Jimmy lived in community called Lake Forest, it had a man made lake with ducks, it was a peaceful place. One day he put a trail of crackers and watched as a duck approached which he caught. He said it was a tasty lunch. heh heh

” /> I ran across this video that I have not seen for about 10 years. Not sure who it belongs to, might be Chuck’s. Don’t think he would mind if we put it up, nice work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivNpNvcn7aE

My view! I got a message today and it came in a different way and I am not sure if it is private or public so I will post the answer but not the question. We are going fine and much information is being passed on. What other instructors do is up to them. I want to stick to facts. No one is angry but you check out what they do yourself. Answer Kind of
Larry Wikel demonstrating at the Twin Dragons School
Larry Wikel has been ill! Thought we might show a demo that Larry did, might cheer him up. I really miss these old guys, we spent so much time together, shared dreams, and told stories, Larry always told the best ones. heh heh Larry listened when Jimmy told us how to cover your ankle when you drop to your knee, Larry did it every time, many Masters do not do it. You protect that ankle
What attracted me to San Soo If I had to say one word it would be flow. I had a friend in high school that turned out to be a pretty good fighter, he fought another student that all through school bullied people because of the very big person, he was a star player on the football team and everyone feared him. He was much bigger than my friend and I found it hard to
Learn to listen to your brain, then de-brief for next time! Both Police and Military usually de-brief after combat missions to discuss both positive and negative areas of their mission so the next one will go smoother. We should do the same even if it is within our brain, we view (what we can remember) to do better the next time. We may view tactics, timing, angles, set up, clothing (tight pants limited kicks), Leather
Here’s why officers touch the back of your car during a traffic stop
Wonder why cops touch your car when they stop you. The second issue they mention about checking who is in back is something that happened here, as the Officer walked up (he stopped a truck with gang members) they kicked open the tailgate and shot him and he went down. They got out and he begged for his life and they shot him in the head. Later I had to transport them to court, I
Higher level thinking When someone asks what Martial Art do you study, “I study San Soo” you may smile and feel pride, but what have you told them, not much. Don’t you realize that every art teaches their form of San Soo at their highest teaching levels. All San Soo means is “full on fighting or combat”, what we leave out is what kind of San Soo is it. Jimmy wanted to separate our art
