I don’t believe Jimmy ever taught how to fight a tiger or a monkey Because he was never concerned of being attacked by a tiger or a monkey but he did teach you how to fight another human Acting like an animal.
If you ever watch one of Jimmy’s black-and-white videos the first 10 seconds of any video are rather devastating to any opponent as compared to the 10 seconds of this video
Allow your mind to tell you which of the arts will actually help you survive an actual situation that has nothing to do with an animal other than the human animal That is attacking you

A very misconception regarding animal forms or styles named after animals is that the person is trying to emulate the animal. This is not the case. The form or style relays the concepts borrowed from the animal, such as evasive movement, targets for strikes, power, grappling, joint locks, etc. the Chinese weren’t stupid; nobody can really fight like an animal. This myth is perpetuated by kung Fu movies popularized in the 70’s, and modern Wushu forms that have little or no elements of the original styles they claim to represent. I will admit, however, southern mantis does seem to emulate the insect that the style is named after. It is a rarity, and also has ties to wing chun. I think Jimmy not teaching animal forms had more to do with him not learning any rather than a philosophical perspective. He has been quoted as saying that we aren’t animals, and he was correct. If you watch any of those animal styles spar, they don’t move like the forms either.
