OK, I can hear it already, “this is a San Soo site, this is from another Art”. There are somethings that are universal that transcend all Arts maybe with a slight twist. But to me slipping is slipping and this guy has proven to me he is very good at it. I don’t think he is teaching an Art, so far he has stock to superior evasion and general strikes. So to the guys out there who like to strut their stuff, tell me is there a San Soo strut, or a Kenpo, how about a MMA, no, just a strut. I found it interesting to see how the mind works in action and the fact when they were really trying to hit him, he did the same move over and over and the opponent fell into the same trap at punching to the place where the guy was. In real combat I would prefer to mix it up but this is an example of how the mind responds. Now if the guy took a video and watched he may have figured out, that’s where he goes so that is where I punch. So next time the evader needs to move a different direction. Bruce lee figured this out, he beat almost every Martial Artist with the same technique, low side kick to the shin followed to the straight blast to the face as the head came forward. He also proved how the mind can be directed to a problem that it can not seem to break away from and that is “trapping hands” where he grabs your wrist with one hand and hits with the other and keeps reversing them. The strikes keep bashing your face and the mind gets stuck and all it can think is, “Why can’t I get my hand back” as the light starts to become dim.
I would consider this slipping somewhat of a Num Pai
